Au cours des dernières décennies, le Burkina Faso, pays du Sahel, a fait face à un enchaînement d'événements climatiques «extrêmes» d'une ampleur et d'une rapidité sans précédent.
La concordance entre les savoirs paysans sur les changements climatiques et les informations scientifiques peut contribuer à élaborer des stratégies d’adaptation durables.
L’adhésion des populations aux actions locales d’adaptation aux changements climatiques est effective si ces actions intègrent leurs savoirs endogènes y relatifs. L’étude recense et compare les niveaux de perceptions par les paysans des changements climatiques et leurs conséquences socio-environnementales en fonction de la zone agro climatique.
