Zulu healers and modern chmcal psychologists with the same group of psychlatnc patients Results
mdlcated that while tradItIona and modern practltloners worked from different theoretlcal onentatlons,
they were m slgmticant agreement as to both dlagnosts and treatment of patients when faced Nlth the
same hmlted choice of options. Furthermore. patients perceived both traditlonal and modern practiuoners
as bemg more or less equally helpful. Results are compared with those of other studies Local and
