Objective: This paper provides a systematic
review of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) associated with
the use of extracts of the herb St. John's wort (Hyperi-
cum perforatum L.) for the treatment of mild to mod-
erate depression.
Methods: Searches of four computerized literature da-

This paper develops a conceptual model to examine the vulnerability of Inuit food systems to food insecurity as a consequence of climate change. The model illustrates that food system vulnerability is determined by the exposure and sensitivity of the food system to climaterelated risks and its adaptive capacity to deal with those risks.
There is an urgent need to develop the underlying theory and principles of ‘‘sustainability science,’’ based on an understanding of the fundamental interactions between nature and humans. This requires a new research and education paradigm that embraces biocomplexity, integrates the physical, biological, and social sciences, and uses a coupled, human–natural systems approach.
